Welcome to My Dog Can’t Type

Maybe it was there for a while, but I only noticed it this past week. The little bald spot at the end of Oscar’s tail. Bald from ten years of sitting, sleeping, cuddling, and playing. Bald from use.  Good use.

It reminded me this quote from the Velveteen Rabbit: “Generally, by the time you are Real, most of your hair has been loved off, and your eyes drop out and you get loose in the joints and very shabby. But these things don’t matter at all, because once you are Real you can’t be ugly, except to people who don’t understand.” ~ Margery Williams, The Velveteen Rabbit

My little guy is getting older, I can’t deny that. I can’t change it. But I can make the most of it. This blog is my attempt to capture the stories and adventures of my little dog with the big personality. My dog can’t type… but I can.
